About Reservations
  • No reservation is required to visit Machikane Festival.
  • Some projects distribute numbered tickets. Please check the details page of each project for more information.
About Attendance
  • During Machikane Festival, vehicle restrictions and parking lot closures are in effect on campus. Please use public transportation when you visit us (for details, see Access). If you have unavoidable circumstances such as difficulty walking, please contact us in advance from Contact.
  • You can come by bicycle, but since the bicycle parking lots near the Main Street and the Ground are closed, please park your bicycle at the bicycle parking lot at the bottom of Handai-zaka or the one between D3 Center and the School of Engineering Science. Also, for safety reasons, you may be asked to walk your bicycle.
About Food and Drinks
  • Having food and drinks are prohibited inside buildings (including the piloti). We have eating areas on the Ground, so please use them.
  • When you move the chairs in the eating area, please return them to their original position.
  • The number of eating areas is limited. When you are not eating, please use the sofas and chairs inside the buildings (eating is not allowed) or the rest seats on the Main Street.
  • We recommend bringing your own drinks, as the vending machines on campus sell out quickly.
About Drinking and Smoking
  • Drinking alcohol is prohibited all day. Please refrain from coming to the event in a drunken state.
  • During the event days, the smoking booth is not available. Please refrain from smoking on campus.
About Trash
  • During the event days, regular trash cans cannnot be used.
  • Please separate and dispose of your trash at the "Trash Stations" located throughout the venue. You can check the locations of the Trash Stations on the overall map.
  • Please separate and dispose of your trash in the temporary trash cans in CELAS.
About Lost and Found
  • We are in charge of lost and found during Machikane Festival. If you find or lose something on campus during Machikane Festival, please come to Main Info on the Main Street.
  • After Machikane Festival, the management of lost and found will be managed by the university authorities. For inquiries about found or lost items, please contact the Toyonaka Student Center (2nd floor of the Student service center, Toyonaka Campus).
About Missing Persons
  • If you find a missing person or are looking for your child during Machikane Festival, please come to Main Info on the Main Street.
About Bringing Pets
  • Please refrain from bringing pets as Machikane Festival is expected to be very crowded. In particular, pets are not allowed to pass through the Main Street and the Ground, where food-related projects are held.
  • With cages, you can visit in in-facility projects, outdoor projects, and stage projects.
About distributing flyers and solicitation
  • Distributing flyers within the project area requires prior permission.
  • Whether or not you have prior permission, distributing flyers on the Main Street is entirely prohibited.
  • When you find suspicious flyer distribution or solicitation, please report it to Main Info.
Disclaimer

The University of Osaka Festival Committee (hereinafter referred to as "the Committee") has established the following disclaimer regarding Machikane Festival (hereinafter referred to as "the Festival"). During the Festival, all committee members will do their best to ensure that all visitors can safely enjoy the Festival, but we ask for your understanding of the disclaimer.

  1. Except in cases of obvious negligence by the Committee, the Committee shall not be responsible for any accidents or injuries that occur on university premises or on the way to and from the Festival during the Festival period.
  2. The Committee shall not be responsible for any theft or loss that occurs during the Festival period. To prevent theft, we ask all visitors to manage their valuables at their own responsibility. Lost items are managed at the Group Reception (Piloti).
